Catherine Kanjer Kapphahn

Catherine Kanjer Kapphahn holds an MFA from Columbia University in Nonfiction Writing and teaches at Lehman College in the Bronx. For the last eight years, she has taught writing to students from the ages of 12 to 80. She also teaches medical narratives workshops that explore the patient and caregiver perspective for those in the medical community. Her essay “The Waiting Room” appeared in CURE, a magazine dedicated to supporting cancer patients and caregivers. She is currently seeking a publisher for her memoir The Stories You Never Told Me, an adventure-love story that spans three continents, about a daughter’s search for her mother’s elusive history.
