Ivelisse Rodriguez

Ivelisse Rodriguez is an Assistant Professor at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. She has a Ph.D. in English-Creative Writing from the University of Illinois-Chicago and an MFA from Emerson College. She has had work published in the Boston Review, Migente.com, Latinostories.com, and other outlets. She is currently finishing her short story collection, which mostly focuses on adolescent Puerto Rican girls and their conceptions of womanhood. She has also begun work on a novel about the African Diaspora in Puerto Rico.
