Cheryl Burke

Cheryl Burke is a Brooklyn-based poet and writer. Her work appears in numerous print and online publications, including; Word Warriors: 35 Women Leaders in the Spoken Word Revolution (Seal Press, 2007), Suspect Thoughts, Reactions 5: New Poetry (Pen & Inc, 2005), BLOOM, and The Guardian. She has given readings and performances of her work throughout the U.S. and Great Britain. In 2003, Cheryl received an artists fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts and a residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her website is
